Tool & Die Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Lay out, fit, and assemble parts to make and repair tools, dies, mandrels and other components.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock to lay out for machining by other workers.
  • Operate drill press to drill and tap holes in parts.
  • Inspect tooling and position and secure parts.
  • Assemble parts into product and verify dimensions and alignments.
  • Grind and polish tools and perform parts degreasing
  • Operate various power and hand tools and acetylene torch for cutting and heating purposes.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirement

Tool & Die Technician Job Requirements:

  • Maintain knowledge of production equipment operations.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  •  Lift 80 lbs. bottom breakdown rolls with assistance.
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environment with high heat and humidity for prolonged period

 

Furnace Operator

The Heat Treat Furnace Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring heat treat furnaces and related equipment to heat, temper, normalize, or anneal metal parts according to specifications

Furnace Operator Job Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload parts into furnaces and related equipment.
  • Set and monitor furnace temperatures per process specifications.
  • Inspect parts visually and with measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, hardness testers) to ensure correct processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of processing times, temperatures, and part tracking.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Furnace Operator Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with heat treating processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.

Material Handler

This position involves placing finished goods into the stockroom, pulling materials for production, and performing regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Material Handler Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stockroom Management:
    • Receive, organize, and store finished goods in designated stockroom locations.
    • Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of inventory.
    • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
  2. Production Material Handling:
    • Pull materials from inventory and deliver them to production lines as needed.
    • Collaborate with production staff to ensure materials are available to meet schedules.
    • Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  3. Inventory Control and Cycle Counting:
    • Perform regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
    • Document inventory adjustments and report findings to the Inventory Manager.
  4. Shipping and Receiving Support:
    • Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying quantities against purchase orders.

Weld Mill Operator

  • Safely operates, sets up and adjusts all tube welding mills.
  • Make periodic inspection checks to determine type of adjustments.
  • Completes destructive and nondestructive tube quality checks as required and necessary.
  • Prepares various rolls, clamps, bars, and mandrels for changeovers or replacement.
  • Installs and reconditions electrodes.
  • Maintains perishable tooling and supplies as needed for the mill.
  • Maintains proper operating standards for the tooling and product and records it.
  • Maintains correct and continuous supply of strip steel from storage area to welder.
  • Operates cranes.
  • Makes splice welds for continuous welding.

Weld Mill Operator Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations without difficulty or additional assistance.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong general mechanical skills.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to moderate noise intensity
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

Electropolishing Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate electropolishing equipment to treat stainless-steel parts
  • Monitor the electropolishing process to ensure compliance with specifications, including time cycles, voltage settings, and chemical concentrations.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts before and after the electropolishing process to ensure quality finish.
  • Maintain accurate records of process parameters and inspection results in the production database.
  • Troubleshoot process problems and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

  • Previous experience in metal finishing, electropolishing, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
