Saw Operator Responsibilities:

  • Read technical drawings, reports, and work instructions.
  • Perform cutting and shaping operations, working with a variety of mild steel, stainless steel, structural angle, channel, and tubing.
  • Set up and maintain all saw equipment.
  • Set up, fit, and position weldments, having many parts.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and methods.

Saw Operator Requirements:

  • High School Degree or equivalent required; three to five years of related experience preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, reports, and work instructions accurately
  • Experience performing cutting and shaping operations on metals.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read tape measures, basic math

 

Slitting Department Operator

The Slitting Department Operator will sets up, operate, and maintain slitting machines to precisely cut large rolls of plastic. 

 Slitting Department Operator Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate slitting equipment, load raw material, thread material through the machine, and adjust settings (knives, tension, speed) per work orders.
  • Perform visual inspections, use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure precise slit width and edge quality, check for defects, and package finished goods according to specifications.
  • Interpret work orders, set up knives, configure machine parameters, and troubleshoot issues like wrinkles or incorrect tension.
  • Move and change heavy parent rolls and finished slit rolls,  using forklifts and cranes
  •  Accurately complete production paperwork, log data, and scan materials into production systems.
Slitting Department Operator Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
  • Prior experience in a production environment is ideal.

  • The candidate would be responsible for electronic assembly of small circuit boards and would be responsible for through-hole soldering.
  • In addition will operate and load wave solder and SMT machines and will do sub assembly of parts.

  • Must have above average attention to detail
  • Dexterity to work with very small parts
  • Ability to stand for 10-hour shift

  • Perform gas, water, and air assembly.
  • Thread piping, bend conduit, and assemble, as needed.

Utility Technician Requirements:

  • High School Degree or equivalent required; three to five years of related experience preferred but not necessary
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read tape measures, basic math
  • Blueprint reading skills are a plus

An applicant isn’t expected to have all the necessary skills.  There would be some on-the-job training.

 

CNC Machinist/Set-up

CNC Machinist/Set-up Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery and make advanced adjustments to ensure precise production.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs, tooling, fixturing, and setup procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex CNC machine issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Perform part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
  • Train and assist CNC operators with setups, troubleshooting, and adherence to quality and production processes.
  • Document production data, setups, inspections, and machine performance in ERP systems and maintain accurate records.

CNC Machinist/Set-up Requirements:

  • 3+ years of machinist experience with lathes or mills, including 1+ year of set-up experience
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and understand GD&T and G&M codes
  • Compliance with safety regulations and proficient use of measuring instruments

CNC Machine Operators

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Operate computer-controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic work pieces
  • Load/unload a CNC vertical or horizontal machining center.
  • Read & understand drawings of parts.
  • Adjust machine feed & speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.
  • Calculate machine speed & feed ratios & the size & position of cuts.
  • Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated & cooled during machine operation.
  • Enter commands or load control media, such as tapes, cards, or disks, into machine controllers to retrieve programmed instructions.
  • Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions & rags.

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to inspect parts & revise CNC program as required.
  • Must have at least one year experience operating a CNC machine center in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to accurately measure parts using a micrometer and caliper.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
