Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Time bookkeeping managing the accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by accurate posting and verification
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, and non-cash adjustments
  • Fostering strong customer and vendor relations while being effective on collecting and making payments on time
  • Preparing and filing quarterly Use Tax
  • Assist the CFO/Controller with tax and audit preparation
  • Assist HR Manager with payroll processing, preparing paperwork for new hires and terminations, filing employee documentation

Staff Accountant Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-year degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, communicate and work effectively with the leadership team

Production – Finishing Dpt.

The FMD Production Operator is responsible for processing parts to customer specifications using various methods including, but not limited to deburring, inspection, finish machining, assembly, buffing, and blasting.

FMD Production Operator Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of measuring devices to inspect parts and verify conformance of work to specifications.
  • Operate a variety of finish machining equipment including CNC machines.
  • Sharpen and/or replace tools as needed.
  • Perform light assembly.
  • Wash, count and inspect parts.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on equipment.

FMD Production Operator Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand documents such as blueprints, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write standard documentation.
  • Ability to use a computer for daily activities, including data entry.
  • Must demonstrate good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must have the dexterity to work with small components.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

This is a Thurs/Fri/Sat every other Wednesday 5 am – 5:30 pm shift

Office Assistant

  • Answer reception phones. Direct and respond accordingly.
  • Post, receive, and sort mail.
  • Update weekly timekeeping and attendance records for the hourly workforce.
  • Update paid time off reports.

Manufacturing Lab Technicians

Are you creative and have a sharp eye for color? Come work in our clients color formulation lab where they create every color of the rainbow for the plastic industry!

Lab Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Measure, weigh up color formula’s materials to meet customer specifications.
  • Mix batch in jars on shakers, and produce color chips using injection molding machines for sample submission and for each lot of colorant manufactured to ensure quality control.
  • During production process, match customer color submissions as accurately as possible using lab equipment and guidance from more experienced technicians assigned to Quality.
  • May be trained to run the Mill, or bottle machine to produce color sheets, or bottles for sample submission

Lab Technician Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years prior experience in a lab environment preferred and plastics industry experience highly desirable.
  •  Ability to see color accurately.
  • Strong number perception, basic math and measurement skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and good verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate will lift 5 to 20 lbs. frequently, 20-40 lbs. occasionally, and more than 40 lbs. with assistance if required.
  • Frequent work with lab equipment (weigh scales, spectrophotometer, etc.), and molding machinery.

Industrial Painter

The industrial painter is responsible for applying paint and other types of coatings on manufactured goods and structures by using rollers, brushes, and sprayers.  This job is a multi-skilled position and requires a keen eye for detail and physical dexterity. Must be forklift certified or be able to obtain certification through our program. Must possess the ability to operate an overhead crane.

Industrial Painter Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform sight quality inspection and report missing or bad welds for correction prior to painting items.
  • Mix and thin paint or other coatings to specified color and consistency according to customer requests.
  • Set up and operate equipment to paint or coat products.
  • Monitor paint operations to identify flaws and correct the causes.
  • Regulate controls on equipment and paint booth to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
  • Operate lifting and moving devises to move materials and equipment to access areas to be painted.
  • Rack work pieces on skids, inspect, mark, and transfer finished products to staging / shipping areas.
  • Maintain records of paint issued and inventory of supplies on hand.
  • Perform dry mills check on coated parts and record.

Industrial Painter Job Requirements:

  • Acute attention to detail and ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years/experience in an industrial production painting environment a plus (please note experience with residential, carpentry, and commercial building painting is not transferable).
  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to lift / move up to 50 pounds.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines; work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

 

 

Welder/Fitter

Welder/Fitter Job Description:

  • Use measure devices to assist in layout and fit of steel to be welded.
  • Weld pieces together in flat, vertical or overhead positions, to make the desired completed product according to documented print.
  • Grind burrs and sharp edges using hand grinders.
  • Examine completed work pieces for defects such as deformed edges and marred surfaces.

Welder/Fitter Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ welding experience. 
  • 2 years’ fitting experience preferred.
  • Ability to use basic mathematics and measurements.
  • Experience working with and reading blueprints.
  • Experience with layout and measuring.
  • Ability to inspect fabricated parts before welding.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane – (will train)
  • Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, working overhead and standing for long periods of time while performing job tasks.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs

Slitting Department Helper

Shipping-Material Handling

Shipping-Material Handling Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading trucks & trailers.
  • Handle and transport materials/supplies from storage to designated areas.
  • Review incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders from vendors and third parties and accurately enter materials into Tekla using the P2 scanner.  Work with Purchasing Agent to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Loads materials onto flatbed, step decks, and double drop trailers.
  • Assist in banding and palletizing equipment/parts.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving powder coated and galvanized equipment.
  • Keep inventory and yard neat and organized.
  • Help maintain grounds – mowing, shoveling, filling gravel in lot, etc.
  • Assist in loading and unloading the blast and paint rooms.
  • Kit parts for assembly as needed.
  • Assist maintenance as needed.
  • Fill out and submit daily inspection forms for mobile equipment.

Shipping-Material Handling Requirements:

  • Ability to use overhead crane and mobile equipment (will train)
  • Must be able to climb onto and off of trailers while wearing PPE
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply safety rules, operating instructions, work instructions and packaging guidelines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside in all seasons for portions of shifts.
  • Computer entry and shipping paperwork experience.

Production Operators

The Production Operator for this fourth generation family owned company will set up and operate all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of stainless steel tubes.  Must be able to demonstrate strong general mechanical skills.  Ability to use zero measuring equipment, including micrometers and tape measures.

Production Operator Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations without difficulty or additional assistance.

Finishing Operator Duties: 

  • Set up and operate finishing equipment including but not limited to straightener, saw, and furnace. Blow plugs, rand bright, and swirl.
  • Perform pickle and passivate operations
  • Hazardous waste management

Draw Bench Operator Duties: 

  • Set up and operate all types of steel tube reduction equipment to reduce the outer dimension (OD), inner dimension (ID) and/or wall of a steel tube. Equipment includes drawbenches and pointers.
  • Determine needed tooling for specified orders and process pieces through actual set up to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure proper alkaline cleaning of product including blowing of plugs.
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Operate computer terminal, fork trucks, and cranes to accomplish own work.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to moderate noise intensity
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)

Candidates have the potential to make up to $23.25/hr. within 6 months.
