Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Job Description:

  • Maintain all the equipment and machinery that is in the manufacturing area for the company. This includes presses, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Responsible for scheduling and performing regular scheduled maintenance of the machines and repair as needed
  • Respond to calls for repair work and diagnose in a timely manner
  • Keep maintenance reports and make records for all the repair works they conduct on the machinery. These reports need to capture ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Responsible for getting quotes to obtain special components, fixtures or fittings that are required.
  • Maintain inventory for the tools and place orders for new ones when they are required.
  • Other building repairs as needed or contract out to qualified personnel.
  • Maintain IQMS with applicable equipment that requires preventative maintenance.

Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. Experience in the field up to at least four years is preferred.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills are required.
  • Excellent organization of Preventative Maintenance schedules and inventory of equipment and parts is an essential part of the position.
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Color vision with the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

 

Administrative Support

Quality Assurance Technician

This position is responsible for training new and tenured QC Inspectors. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting plant quality initiatives related to acceptance of products produced according to customer requirements.

Quality Assurance Technician Job Responsibilities: 

  • Able to perform clean room particulate monitoring and document results.
  • Interpret and conduct inspections to quality control plans and drawings.
  • Perform inspections for start-up first piece approval, in-process production, last piece inspection and shipping document verification. Accurately document and record inspection results.
  • Identify training opportunities and implement training plans for QC Inspectors.
  • Perform dimensional and functional testing using various equipment.
  • Perform incoming inspections on raw materials.
  • Identify non-conformances and initiate Nonconformance reports.
  • Communicate with Quality / Manufacturing Manager and Shift Supervisor when non-conforming processes and/or product are identified.

Quality Assurance Technician Job Requirements: 

  • Ability to fill in on the off shifts and weekends if needed.
  • Understanding Good Documentation Practices
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • FDA / ISO 13485 or ISO-9001 experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively use tools associated with ensuring product quality including calipers, micrometer, depth micrometer, indicators, gage pins, gage blocks, height and pin gages, and precision optical equipment.
  • 3-to-5-year relevant work experience in class 6- 8 clean-room environment preferred, 3-to-5-year relevant work experience in inspection and measurement ISO standards required.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Intermediate to advanced personal computer skills; experienced with Microsoft Office applications.

**1st shift is 6 am – 6pm, 2nd shift is 6 pm – 6 am   3 days on/4 off/4 on/3 off (work every other weekend)**

 

Maintenance Mechanic

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all production and lab equipment.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Description:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all production and lab equipment to include:
    • molding machines, mixers, extrusion machines, forklifts, floor scrubbers, etc.
    • typical building / facility upkeep
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all lab and production equipment.
  • Conducts safety and job process training to department personnel.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 5-7 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, and some leadership/supervisory/project management experience preferred.
  • Experience includes: hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fab/welding, forklifts, strong electrical trouble shooting and repair, etc.
  • Experience in a plastics industry environment preferred (extrusion or injection machines)
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other Safety Regulations, and in the frequent use of personal protective equipment. (HazCom, LockOut/TagOut, Respiratory Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.)

Raw Material Weigh Technician

Raw Material Weigh Technician Job Duties: 

  • Select order(s) out of extrusion machine order staging bin(s) located in the weigh booth.
  • Gather and weigh appropriate raw materials needed for order (carrying tubs or rolling containers).
  • Maintain quality logs of orders weighed.
  • Refill all rolling or stationary containers (repetitive lifting of 10-55 lb. bags) from the racks.
  • May assist production employees with mixing orders during peak periods.
  • Track and label inventory per HMIS/MSDS system, and inventory raw materials

Raw Material Weigh Technician Job Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  1-3 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.  Plastics industry, weighing, mixing or blending experience highly desirable.
  • Must have excellent number perception, math and measurement skills, acute vision for reading weigh scales, and attention to detail.
  • Able to be respirator(1/2 face) qualified and fork lift certified
  • Physical: bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling; lift or carry 25-50 pounds frequently, and with good judgment lift 50 to 70 pounds occasionally (buddy system available). Over 70 pounds, lift with assistance (buddy, dolly, cart, forklift truck). Tip, roll, transfer or push over 100 pounds occasionally using the “buddy” system, and dolly/cart, or forklift truck to put the order onto pallet or to move product to mixing department or for final weighing and shipping.

 

Machine Operator

Rubber Compounding Machine Operator Job Responsibilities: To perform activities regarding compounding, weighing, mixing, processing of materials and safe operation of equipment throughout the facility. To ensure the even flow of the properly mixed compound throughout the manufacturing process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Check all raw materials using color perception for contamination, weigh and mix raw materials as specified on the formulations/instructions.
  • Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment according to standard procedures.
  • Visually check mixing consistency of each batch, report inconsistencies, unusual conditions, or any process changes/problems to the Production Supervisor.
  • Load raw materials and oil into mixer and mix in accordance with schedule and related work instructions.
  • Monitor mixing conditions and adjust bulk oil set up as needed for mixing purposes.
  • Ensure mixer is clean of material buildup for changeovers to other materials.
  • Maintain clean mill and mill pan area after every batch to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain efficient flow of machines to minimize production loss.

Rubber Compounding Machine Operator Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired. Successful completion of Competency Assessment may be considered in lieu of education.
  • One (1) year manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to read a tape measure. Good computer/systems skills – MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to visually identify color differences in finished goods and to check material for contaminants or inconsistencies.

 

 

 

 

Grinder

Grinders are responsible for the polish, buff and sand blast for the rough and finishing process working with steel and stainless steel materials, such as fabricated sheet metal, machined and welded items.

Grinder Job Description

  • Read blueprints for product specifications, such as dimensions, material type, material sizes, finish callout and material hardness, etc.
  • Read manufacturing orders to determine polishing operations and staging of parts.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges and clean parts.
  • Select grade of abrasive belt, wheel, sand rolls or disk, according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to various grinding and polishing tools.
  • Must be able to operate, but not limited to, the following tools:  large angle grinders, small angle grinders, belt sanders, die grinders, orbital sanders, drum sanders and hand files.
  • Operate assorted polishing tools and abrasives on surface of work piece to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, sharp edges and burrs.
  • Polish heat treated parts to product smooth, consistent, unmarred surface and achieve specified finish.
  • Work with items on bench, rotary table and lathe for rough and finish polish of work piece to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, burrs and other defects from metal surface to produce smooth, consistent, unmarred surface and achieve specified finish.
  • Effectively use the sand blaster to prepare part for final polish and finish sand blast parts to achieve specified finish.

Grinder Job Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge and experience working with various ferrous and non-ferrous metals required.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to maintain tolerance and finishes to engineering and manufacturing specifications
  • High school diploma with 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

First shift is 6:30 am – 3 pm Monday – Friday, Second shift is 3 pm – 1 am Monday – Thursday
