Purchasing Assistant/Customer Service – Direct Hire

Purchasing Job Duties: 

  • Enter purchase orders for raw material, maintenance and supplies
  • Work with vendors and suppliers on the availability of raw materials as well as status of purchase.
  • Communicate with production regarding needs for upcoming orders and deliveries of products.
  • Receive all purchase orders for bulk tankers and update ERP on price changes and inventory for batch tickets.
  • Complete invoice reconciliation with the Finance Department.

Customer Service Duties

  • At the reception desk greet guest and act as a back-up for inbound phone calls.
  • Receive and answer correspondence pertaining to COD orders and other orders. Keep revisions updates: location changes ship dates, quantities, etc.
  • Coordinate shipping dates and order confirmations with customer

Purchasing Assistant/Customer Service Requirements:

  • Two years of customer service experience is required. Freight experience helpful
  • Excellent organizational skills, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ERP and CRM programs

 

 

 

Production Operator – Direct Hire

Colloidal Silica Production Operator Job Duties: 

  1. Monitor batches on multiple computer monitors for quality and food safety parameters, including Critical Control Points and Control Points.
  2. Record production, sanitation and test data accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
  3. Promptly report all food safety, physical safety, and product quality issues.
  4. Ensure scheduled sanitation activities are completed correctly and on time.
  5. Collect samples as described in Environmental Monitoring Policy.
  6. Maintain records for sanitation, preventive maintenance, and environmental monitoring activities.
  7. Perform warehouse, shipping and receiving duties.

Colloidal Silica Production Operator Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in reading and mathematics at the high school graduate level.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of chemical or food processing is preferred.
  • GMP and HACCP training is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds repetitively.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repetitively.
  • Ability to identify issues with batches, troubleshoot, and communicate problems effectively to supervisor and implement given solutions.
  • Monitor critical plant equipment above and beyond standard colloidal tanks such as: acid skid, water softeners, well house, and boiler.
  • Track plant inventory such as: acid level, caustic level, sodium silicate level, sodium sulfate level, finished good levels, filter bag levels, and any other key materials.

**3 pm – 3:30 am shift   –  3 days on/4 off/4 on/3 off (work every other weekend)**

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Job Description:

  • Perform maintenance as needed on a variety of equipment and assist in maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment/parts on a scheduled or emergency basis.
  • Troubleshoot/repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance supervisor on tasks performed, repairs, etc.
  • Participate in all of the plants programs for safety, health and environmental.

Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MSDS, hazmat, LOTO procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of maintenance/electrical maintenance.
  • Experience with reading schematics, CNC maintenance, and MIG/TIG welding.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • High School diploma or related experience

2nd shift is (Monday – Thursday, 3 pm to 1 am) with initial training on first shift.

Quality Assurance Supervisor’s main responsibilities are to provide direct verification of multiple plants conformance to quality and regulatory standards, to provide support and guidance (written or verbal) to management, staff, and customers, and provide training to staff as needed.

Quality Assurance Supervisor Job Duties: 

  • Supervise Quality Technicians in QC functions
  • Ensure the quality control procedures are implemented during every step of the production process and finished goods
  • Maintain and validate quality documentation
  • Assist in addressing quality issues and report quality findings and issues to superiors whenever necessary
  • Respond to client complaints related to the product quality conducting root cause analyses and taking necessary corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Plan, conduct, address and report findings on internal quality audits
  • Compile quality information needed for management review and on a planned, regular basis
  • Take appropriate corrective actions on identified problems concerning audits, production and documentation
  • Establish and manage the food safety management system and procedure – this includes developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and programs to meet quality control.
  • Work with a third party to certify the organization for quality control and other applicable standards.
  • Review documentation submitted by suppliers
  • Perform trend data analyses of test results
  • Support the development of new products
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly Quality System reviews and documents
  • Establish department budget, work schedules and future project planning

Quality Assurance Supervisor Job Requirements:

  • Audit experience, both internal and external
  • Familiarity with ISO & FSSC-related processes
  • Regulatory and Safety Experience is a plus
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate complex technical information for projects and training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Drivers license to be able to travel to multiple plants
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts in Chemistry, Biology or related field required

  • Studies drawings & specifications to determine setup & tooling requirements.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
