Material Handler

Material Handler Job Description:

  • Load and unload trucks and move material within the warehouse or production facility.
  • Pull orders together and assemble them for shipment to customers, distribution centers or other destinations.
  • Prepare products for shipping which may include the use of pallet jacks and safely operating forklifts.
  • Packaging which may include using banding and shrink wrap machines.
  • Read and interpret paperwork associated with shipping, organizing and distributing product.
  • Put away all incoming materials and cycle count them.

Material Handler Requirements:

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), with 1-2 years’ experience shipping experience preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Exhibits positive customer service, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to be qualified to operate forklifts
  • Lift or carry 10 to 25 pounds frequently, 25 to 70 pounds occasionally, lift or push up to 200 lbs. or more occasionally (using “buddy” system, forklifts, or dolly’s for these higher weights).
  • Other requirements include: excellent number and depth perception, strong eye-hand coordination, competent reading of shipping documents, labels, etc., strong math, and  weighing abilities.

  • Responsible for all aspects of food production for patients, catering and retail areas for the system.
  • Receives, stores, preps, cooks and serves all items within food services.
  • Responsible for the safe receiving, handling, cooking and serving of food, and adhering to all local, state and federal guidelines related to a commercial food service operation.
  • Reviews production sheets and recipes to ensure quality and quantity needed for items to prepare.ses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment including blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers and tenderizers to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces and casseroles. Bakes, roasts, broils and steams meat, fish, vegetables and other foods per recipes. Carves and slices meats and cheese. Garnishes, displays and serves food items according to standards and recipes.
  • Insures proper storage and rotation of inventories in refrigerators and freezers. Monitors food temperatures and utilizes established procedures to ensure safe food handling techniques and prevent bacteria contamination.

Hospital Cook Job Requirements:

  • ServSafe Food Handler certification.
  • Requires 3 years of experience in food production in settings such as a hotel, restaurant or high end institutional environment.
  • Familiarity with diet restrictions and ability to adapt recipes accordingly. Ability to measure and scale amounts of ingredients used in a recipe.  Continuously lifts up to 10 lbs., frequently lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.

**Candidate needs to be able to be scheduled to work between the hours of 5 am and 11 pm**

Quality Inspection Technician

Quality Inspection Technician Job Description:

  • Perform “first piece” inspection, in-process checks at the designated intervals, “last piece checks” prior to parts moving to the store room or shipping area.
  • The calibration and setting of gages to be used at the workstations, by the machine operator.
  • The completion and filing of all inspection related paperwork.  The sign off of completed operations on shop routing sheets.

Quality Inspection Technician Job Qualifications:

  • Blueprint reading, the use and care of the standard hand measuring tools.
  • The ability to learn to operate the manual CMM.
  • Have a basic understanding of gage R&R studies and Statistical process control charting. Have a basic understanding of Geometric Tolerancing.
  • Know how to convert from metric measure to English measure.
