Attaching a fabric cover to a furniture frame. The frame will be either a back, seat or arm which has already been covered with foam.

General Work Steps:

• Upholsterer lifts frame from skid to work table.
• Wraps thin layer of plastic around frame and uses vacuum to tighten the foamed frame.
• Pulls a fabric cover over the frame that has been cut and sewn to fit the specific frame. Cover has been sewn closed on three sides, leaving an opening.
• Staples the opening closed
• Upholsterer lifts covered frame to a skid.

Candidates must be able to sand for 10 hours and lift, push, pull, bend during the shift.

Hours are 6 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday

Quality Assurance Supervisor Job Description:

Develop procedures and supervise quality assurance activities and up to 7  personnel on three shifts to ensure department procedures are conducted in an effective and timely manner.

• Establish, monitor, and maintain product / packaging specification sheets, labels, and samples. Develop and implement inspection techniques and schedules to maintain specifications.
• Develop, implement, and maintain computer and other quality assurance record systems and procedures. Coordinate documentation and additions, corrections, or deletions to computer records of the product line.
• Coordinate activities with Sales, Production, and Tooling to identify and resolve quality problems.
• Make decisions on product placed on hold and/or rejected and administer system to ensure records and finished product inventory are accurate.
• Conduct special tests and prepare samples for customer and/or product development activities to check if customer specifications can be met.
• Investigate and process finished product returns to ensure inventory and customer billing records are accurate, and customer complaints are resolved.
• Plan and coordinate training of new employees in the Quality Assurance department.
• Responsible for abiding by employment laws and regulations, equal employment efforts and results in their area of authority.
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules and programs established for the Company and Quality Assurance area.

Quality Assurance Supervisor Job Requirements:

• Three years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector.
• One year supervisory experience or equivalent.

Machine Operator Job Description:

As a Conventional Press Operator you will be responsible for the setup and operation of heavy duty rubber molding machines and other equipment.

• Set up and run machines while making quality products and meeting quantity targets.
• Load and unload molds and manually handle material from from presses.
• Perform minor servicing of the press: demolding parts, spraying mold, and removal of stuck parts.
• Record and submit accurate data on quality, work records, etc.
