Maintenance Mechanic – Building Services

The majority of the work done by the mechanic relates to repairs, maintenance and operation of HVAC and Building Automation Systems, having responsibilities for purchasing some equipment, assembly of furniture and use of large snow removal equipment as outlined below. The position will be required to be on-call on a rotating schedule to assist with emergencies. The mechanic engages in a high degree of customer service.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Responsibilities:

  •  Operate and perform minor maintenance on boilers and chillers, air handlers and similar energy utilizing equipment so as to maximize energy efficiency.
  • Schedule, operate and monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) to meet college expectations for indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
  • Use BAS to identify and troubleshoot problems and to optimize building performance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems so as to maximize reliability.
  • Respond to maintenance requests both scheduled and non-scheduled or emergency
  • Perform routine, periodic inspection and testing of building life-safety systems including fire
    alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree and two years recent work experience in any combination of HVAC and
    facilities maintenance with an emphasis in energy management and operation of building
    automation systems OR Seven years recent work experience in any combination of HVAC and facilities maintenance with an emphasis in energy management and operation of building automation systems.
  • Experience or course work operating, maintaining, troubleshooting or repairing:
    HVAC Systems
    Facilities Maintenance
    Plumbing
    Building Electrical System
    Building Automation (preferred/desired)
  • Experience in using floor buffers and other mechanical cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written format; read, understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer to access web-based work order system, BAS and email.
  • Ability to obtain or complete forklift training certifications.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to maintain schedules; perform the physical requirements for the position including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time; lift and carry boxes, tools, equipment and materials.
  • Valid drivers license

Shipping and Receiving

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

Candidate will need to have forklift and manufacturing shipping experience

Quality/CMM

Quality/CMM Job Description:

  • Utilize various types of measuring devices to inspect parts according to specifications
  • First piece inspection as well as periodic inspections during production runs.
  • Measuring devices include micrometers, calipers, thread and bore gauges, and CMM. (preferably PCDMIS)
  • Ensure parts meet customer specifications and alert managers when issues arise.
  • Complete corresponding paperwork per part inspection

Quality/CMM Position Requirements:

  • Capable of reading blue prints
  • Prefer 1-2 years of QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to accurately measure with a micrometer and caliper required.
  • Part print reading required including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • We are seeking someone who pays attention to detail and has a strong work ethic
  • 2nd shift hours are 4pm-2am Monday -Thursday

 

Class A CDL Driver

Driver Job Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Driver is responsible to drive tractor trailer locally and interstate to deliver wood building components to customers. Loads will most often be oversize and with trailer lengths up to 70’.
  • Driver is responsible for properly securing the load, driving and navigating to jobsites and customer locations, safety unloading of wood components via roller trailer, maintaining electronic logs, acquiring customer signature on necessary paperwork, and notifying managers of any incidents or accidents.

Driver Job Requirements:

  • Able to read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, good attendance, motivation and a positive attitude.
  • Organized, attentive to details and able to read a map.
  • Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (class A), with airbrake endorsement, in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Safety conscious and possess a good driving record. Must maintain driving record in accordance with Company’s driver performance standards.
  • Abide by U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Accurate Housing Systems’ drug and alcohol policy and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Meet U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements and possess a valid medical card.

Receptionist

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for the Company, with callers and on-site visitors.  The Receptionist provides administrative support across the organization, e.g., invoicing, A/P, filing, etc.

Receptionist Job Description:

  • Answer Incoming Calls
    • Determine the nature of callers’ business; provide answers to routine questions, direct callers to appropriate department or individual or take messages for the appropriate person(s).
    • Greet walk-in visitors courteously, determine their needs, direct them to the proper person or department.
  • Invoicing and Accounts Payable tasks:
    • Combine bills of lading with the applicable sales order, calculate simple freight charge, enter invoice in computer.
    • Print invoices, send to customers via their preferred method (email, mail, fax).  2-4 hours per day depending on volume of shipments.
  • Enter accounts payable.
    • Review supplier invoices against  POs & receivers.
    • From computer, assign a vendor number, due date (10th or 15th), GL code, tax status.
  • Sort and distribute mail to employees and departments.
  • Occasionally prepare bank deposit—for the ~ 5% of payments received via mail.
  • File invoices and A/P.

Receptionist Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an office support and receptionist role.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer service.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, divide.
  • Perform calculations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals.

 

 

Manufacturing Maintenance

Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of food grade equipment.

Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
  • A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    Able to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives
  • Familiar with computers and Microsoft software.Preference given to candidates with:
  • 2-3 years in trouble shooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level
  • PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
  • Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of power transmission equipment and bearings.
    Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
  • Familiar with pumps, both air and electric.
  • Able to install and trouble shoot basic 3 phase motor control circuits
    Some knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches

Ability to work flexible hours, overtime.  Ability to work safely at elevated heights (ladders, aerial work platforms, etc.)

Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

  • Develop and conduct a variety of tests on inbound materials from vendors, Work in progress & outbound products for shipping.
  • Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken.
  • Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company product quality.
  • Provides final approval and closes boxes for finished product.

Quality Assurance Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
  • Proven history of understanding industry quality expectations.
  • Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in basic metrology skills using hand measuring devices such as tape measure, caliper & micrometer.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk
