Manufacturing Maintenance Job Description:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all lab and production equipment:
- molding machines, mixers, extrusion machines, forklifts, floor scrubbers, etc.
- typical building / facility upkeep
- Responsibilities include: light hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fabrication, welding, forklift repair, electrical troubleshooting and electrical repair.
- Daily duties include:
- forklift inspection, documentation, and repair if necessary
- documentation on log sheets of all shift maintenance activity
- work orders completed and are turned in for all assigned or emergency repairs completed
- passing along information pertaining to all work order/in-process job status during shift transition.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all lab and production equipment as assigned
- Address machine or equipment repair status with shift Production Supervisor.
- Ensure maintenance areas are kept clean throughout the shifts, and ready for shift transition.
Manufacturing Maintenance Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-3 years Generalist experience working as maintenance mechanic
- Experience in a plastics industry environment preferred (extrusion or injection machines)
- Experience includes: hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fabrication and welding, electrical diagnostics, trouble shooting, wiring, repair, and forklift repair, etc
- Excellent verbal and legible written communication skills as they pertain to dealing with and understanding employee machine malfunction concerns or issues, and documenting job progress in logs.
