Packer Machine Operator Job Description

  • Entry level position.   Great way to advance to machine operator.
  • Packs product either in boxes or on skids to prepare for shipment.   Uses either roll manipulating equipment or manually perform work tasks.
  • Uses computer system, to obtain customer specific packing requirements.
  • Arranges for product transport to shipping department
  • Assist machine operator

1st shift: 6 am – 2 pm and 2nd shift: 2 pm – 10 pm

Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector Job Description:

  • The Quality Inspector will be responsible for in-process inspection of metal parts.
  • Monitor production operations or equipment to ensure conformance to specifications, making necessary process or assembly adjustments. Make minor adjustments to equipment, such as turning setscrews to calibrate instruments to required tolerances.
  • Clean, maintain, calibrate, or repair measuring instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, or height gauges.
  • Recommend necessary corrective actions, based on inspection results. Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status

Quality Inspector Requirements:

  • Must be able to use comparators, micrometers as well as other measuring instruments.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or quality lab is preferred. Knowledge of SPC and/or GD&T training is a plus.
  • Must have solid math and Microsoft Excel skills. Creativity, teamwork and the ability to multi-task is required.

Position is responsible to the Production Manager for all activities within the department pertaining to assigned personnel and the equipment.  While performing the duties as the finishing team leader you will make job decisions to generate assignments, the finishing schedule, safety program, audits and assessments, quality control initiatives, and the timely reporting of jobs in pace and via email or phone.  The department consists of the CNC equipment, Routers, riveting, cutting, drilling, knifing, scoring, tinning, mounting, taping, assembly, or other processes as necessary to support the timely delivery of finished goods to the customer.

  • Approve all first cuts for quality ensuring conformity to drawings and art.
  • Ensure proper operation of all equipment assigned. Perform minor adjustments as needed alerting Maintenance if a major repair is necessary.
  • Effectively and safely operate Fork Lifts, pallet jacks and associated equipment appropriate to the department.

Lead – Finishing Department Job Requirements:

  • The finishing team leader will possess advanced computer skills and the ability to work well with CNC programs.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
  • An advanced understanding of how work flows and processes are executed.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).  Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not a requirement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Solid Works, I-cut and Enroute software’s.  Possess ability to navigate LAN resources (directories, files, printers, etc.)
