Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector Job Description:

  • Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in the inspection and verification of product. The Quality Inspector will execute a variety of Quality Control and Quality Assurance tasks consistent with a focus on manufacturing processes and corporate quality objectives and metrics.
  • The Quality Inspector may also perform secondary operations or manufacturing tasks as needed / required.
  • Tasks may include measurement and data analysis, in combination with feature assessment and identification of conformance.
  • The Quality Inspector will assist production and operations by performing Inspection and documenting results of Materials, Components, Processes, and Procedures.
  • First piece inspection, in process and final inspection. Troubleshooting and analysis of results. Perform calculations and math functions. Evaluation of in-process variables using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and techniques
  • Component Layouts, Inspections, and associated Documentation ·
  • Set up and operate testing equipment. Perform calibrations and assist in maintaining calibration system
  • Assist in MSA (Gage R & R) studies.
  • Ensure compliance with the “Control of Non-Conforming Material” process

Quality Inspector Job Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Must be able to use microscopes, comparators, micrometers as well as other measuring instruments.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or quality lab is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SPC and/or GD&T training is a plus.
  • Must have solid math and Microsoft Excel skills.

 

Quality Technician

  • Develop, maintain, execute and improve Quality Management System, including Document Control
  • Collect and record inspection/various process data into databases
  • Support the decision on the usability of damaged materials
  • Coordinate collection of the quality related costs data
  • Manage the qty of non-conforming materials in SQM quarantine area
  • Contribute to development and maintenance or reports tracking our KPI’s (key process indicators)
  • Management and escalation of blocked/suspect stock to ensure timely action closure

  • 2 Year Technical Degree
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or technical quality experience

Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative Job Description: 

  • Process customer purchase orders for tooling and/or parts, order changes, releases, shortages and monitor shipping schedules.
  • Update customer’s profiles or account information as needed
  • Resolve customer’s problems according to guidelines established by the company
  • Attend weekly shipping meetings as needed
  • Advise manager of possible sales leads, price issues, manufacturing concerns and any other customer related issues
  • Retrieve and send daily EDI releases and advance shipping notices as required
  • Access customer websites to obtain releases and forecasts
  • Complete paperwork for foreign shipments when applicable

Under the direction of the Materials Manager the Buyer will assist in meeting the procurement needs of the company and in the development and continual improvement of supplier relationships.

Manufacturing Buyer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Initiates purchase orders and amendments for parts, services and/or special tools.
  • Manages obsolete items for return or inventory addition.
  • Analyzes requisitions for completeness, clarity, lead-time required and commodity consolidation potential.
  • Ensures delivery schedules are met. Works to improve supplier lead-times.
  • Analyze supplier cost/lead time history; actively seek improvements; research and recommend alternate suppliers.
  • Coordinates with engineering to inspect sample products.

Manufacturing Buyer Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College desired; Associate Degree preferred; High School Graduate or GED required and two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and technology driven communications.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Convert units of measure, compute rate, ratio and percentages.

  • Program Swiss machines with Part Maker software

Swiss CNC Setup / Programmer / Engineer Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand part prints/drawing and specifications

  • Experience with inspection devices, specifically optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers
  • Experience with drawing software, Solidworks is a plus
  • Experience with computer and/or machine programming, PartMaker CAM a plus
  • Experience in CNC swiss machining
  • Read, write, and interpret documents and instructions in written, oral, print, diagram and schedule form (English)
