Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a Manufacturing Customer Service Representative with a positive, professional
attitude and ability to think and react quickly. This individual is responsible for all our customer
invoicing and weekly A/R collection calls. In this role, you will enter and manage customer
orders, consult with the customer to verify product/order specifications and confirm delivery
dates. This roles requires the ability to work closely with internal staff (sales, purchasing,
engineering, manufacturing) to monitor progress and ultimately ensure your customers’
demands are met. Your ability to positively address and resolve customer inquiries, problems,
and complaints regarding product quality, delivery, billing, and other issues will be critical to your
success. This position reports to the General Manager and must be able to work
independently. Strong computer and interpersonal skills are a must!

Position Qualifications
o High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred
o Professional customer relations skills including business writing and verbal skills

o Strong attention to detail and follow through is a must
o Strong computer skills a must – data entry, general navigation and eventually a strong
understanding of our ERP software

Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week minimum (OT as required)
Shift: First Shift, Monday – Friday (occasional Saturday)
Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm, some OT as necessary

Performs set-up and all position welding on a diversified line of standard weldments and structures in accordance with code certifications, alignment, dimensional and general inspection requirements.

Fit and position weldments having a number of parts, use welding fixtures and jigs where applicable.

Work with medium size bases and frames, hoods, hoppers, small booms and structures, plate weldments of varied description.

Work from drawings and job layouts.  Use rule, square, templates and gauges.  Requires knowledge of welding principles and techniques.

Hours: 08:00am to 04:30pm
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
• Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld based on project needs
• Field install welds, including metal sheeting and other parts
• Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
• Utilize plasma, gas, or electric arc in welding metallic and composite materials together
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions
• Monitor work equipment to ensure usage is within optimum temperature to avoid overheating or expansion
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with chemical solutions and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture
• Design patterns and models for a welding project using specifications contained in a blueprint
• Mount and secure workpieces on production equipment using cranes, hoists or banding machines
• Conduct estimates to determine the amount and cost of materials required for construction
• Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations

Description:

The Assistant Project manager accept bid packages; assist in gathering, calculating and compiling of data for use in bid proposals; assist in the assembly of proposal packages; order required material, hardware, consumables, tools, equipment, etc.; maintain high safety profile.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must be able to read prints.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities:

  • Extract takeoff quantities from bid drawings and field measurements, as established from reviewing specifications, terms, and conditions from bid packages.
  • Assist in preparation of proposal documents.
  • Create and maintain relationships with customers as directed by manager.
  • Participate in evaluation of completed jobs and compile accurate cost histories for use in future estimates.
  • Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed.
  • Assume additional duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Develop and sustain current and future relations with customers.
