Logistics Coordinator Job Description:
- Work closely with Manufacturing Manager, Customer Service, and Shipping departments to deliver finished goods to customers.
- Communicates with customers and outside vendors via phone, email and fax.
- Schedules outside vendor services with regard to completion of order (plating, heat treating, etc.)
- Shipping tasks and UPS & FedEx scheduling
- Schedules jobs, machines and operators to meet delivery dates.

Logistics Coordinator Job Requirements:
- Previous experience with shipping duties, bills of lading, etc.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word or similar software packages, email and internet.
- Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and work in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- This position is occasionally required to go onto the shop floor where eye and ear protection are required.
