Production Operators

The Production Operator for this fourth generation family owned company will set up and operate all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of stainless steel tubes.  Must be able to demonstrate strong general mechanical skills.  Ability to use zero measuring equipment, including micrometers and tape measures.

Production Operator Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations without difficulty or additional assistance.

Finishing Operator Duties: 

  • Set up and operate finishing equipment including but not limited to straightener, saw, and furnace. Blow plugs, rand bright, and swirl.
  • Perform pickle and passivate operations
  • Hazardous waste management

Draw Bench Operator Duties: 

  • Set up and operate all types of steel tube reduction equipment to reduce the outer dimension (OD), inner dimension (ID) and/or wall of a steel tube. Equipment includes drawbenches and pointers.
  • Determine needed tooling for specified orders and process pieces through actual set up to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure proper alkaline cleaning of product including blowing of plugs.
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Operate computer terminal, fork trucks, and cranes to accomplish own work.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to moderate noise intensity
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)

Candidates have the potential to make up to $23.25/hr. within 6 months.

 

MIG/TIG Welder

Welders will layout, fit, and weld components working as part of a broader team, responsible for manufacturing plant designs, fabrication, assembly and installing machines used in food processing.  This position is approximately 50% TIG welding and 50% MIG welding.

Monday – Thursday, 5am to 3pm. 

MIG/TIG Responsibilities:

  • Read complex blueprints and apply relevant information to form sheet metal
  • Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, mig, tig, and/or gas welding equipment
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Examine welded components for defects; repair parts to ensure each meets our high standards

MIG/TIG Requirements:

  • 2+ years of MIG/TIG welding experience, ideally gained in a smaller shop with multiple setups throughout the day
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and manufacturing orders

 

Seasonal Receptionist/General Office

Receptionist/General Office Position Requirements:

  • Candidate MUST have worked in an office environment and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Above average organizational and verbal communication skills required.
  • Preference given to candidates with accounting/bookkeeping experience that will return each accounting season.

This temporary position will begin in January and will grow from 20 hours to over 40 hours by the end of April.  Candidates must be able to work two Saturdays/month, 8 am – noon.

 

 

 

Village Deputy Clerk/Treasurer

Village Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Prepares and publishes of public notices, agendas, minutes, packets, and other information for the Village Board, Committees, and Commissions.
  2. Coordinates the annual Board of Review process including training of membership every other year in compliance with state statutes.
  3. Receives and safeguards all Village money and assists in the daily depositing of funds.
  4. Oversees generation of monthly water / sewer billing and collection of billings.
  5. Oversees the response to departmental inquiries and coordinates resolutions of issues pertaining to water / sewer billing, and special charges or assessments.
  6. Coordinates training to Village Board candidates and newly elected trustees regarding the election process, parliamentary procedure, campaign finance reporting,
  7. Attends and facilitates all regular and special Village Board meetings.
  8. Conducts and administers all elections in compliance with State Statutes.
  9. Coordinates the use of public and private buildings for polling places and works with the Public Works Department to distribute election equipment, materials, and supplies to and retrieve from polling places.
  10. Coordinates the processing and issuance of numerous Village licenses and permits.
  11. Updates and maintains the Village’s Municipal Code of Ordinances
  12. Maintains all official Village records, including Village Board files, ordinances, resolutions, minutes, deeds, agreements, contracts, vehicle titles, and acts as the keeper of the official Village Seal.
  13. Responds to citizen and staff information requests via the public information counter and through the Village website.
  14. Administers the Oath of Office to public officials including sworn officers in the Police Department.
  15. Prepares and implements Clerk’s budget and accomplishments reporting.
  16. Serves as the immediate supervisor to Election Inspectors.
  17. Oversees office operations including records management and statutory compliance
  18. Prepares and implements Treasurers budget.
  19. Monitors the status of utility and general billing, special assessments and charges, and all other receivables for purpose of collecting.
  20. Responsible for the preparation of real property tax certification documents for the title companies and financial institutions.

Village Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Job Requirements:

Preference given to candidates with:

  1. An Associate Degree or equivalent in the area of business, finance, public administration, or similar field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible general office experience.
  3. A minimum of 3 years of formal experience as a Clerk / Treasurer or experience in a similar position preferably in a municipal setting
  4. Valid drivers license and good driving record

Position will start part-time (20 hours/week) becoming 40 hours/week.

  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers using a forklift.
  • Deliver materials to production lines according to scheduling and workflow requirements.
  • Monitor material levels and ensure production areas remain adequately stocked.
  • Replace empty fuel cylinders by lifting and securing them onto the forklift.

Tool Room Machinist

The Tool Room Machinist will work with stainless steel and other materials to create custom products used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in operating manual lathes and machining centers. This role involves producing low-volume, precision components.

Tool Room Machinist Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining & Manufacturing: Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers
  • Precision & Quality Control: Perform precise measurements and inspections on all finished parts.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
  • Tool Setup & Maintenance: Set up tooling, fixtures, and machine programs. Regularly maintain tools, equipment, and machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects and address any challenges that arise during production.

Tool Room Machinist Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a machinist in a tool room or manufacturing environment, particularly with stainless steel or other metals.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques, including operating lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers.
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and quality control measures, especially in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), when necessary.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report issues or updates.
  • Certification: Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing PREFERRED: Prior experience working in a regulated environment or producing components for the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software or advanced CNC operations
