Tool Room Machinist

The Tool Room Machinist will work with stainless steel and other materials to create custom products used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in operating manual lathes and machining centers. This role involves producing low-volume, precision components.

Tool Room Machinist Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining & Manufacturing: Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers
  • Precision & Quality Control: Perform precise measurements and inspections on all finished parts.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
  • Tool Setup & Maintenance: Set up tooling, fixtures, and machine programs. Regularly maintain tools, equipment, and machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure the timely completion of projects and address any challenges that arise during production.

Tool Room Machinist Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a machinist in a tool room or manufacturing environment, particularly with stainless steel or other metals.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques, including operating lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers.
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and quality control measures, especially in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), when necessary.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report issues or updates.
  • Certification: Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing PREFERRED: Prior experience working in a regulated environment or producing components for the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software or advanced CNC operations

Machine Operator Job Requirements:

  • Comfortable with the use of overhead cranes to move material

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform general and preventative maintenance on plant equipment such as the air handlers, UF system, solvent still, fork trucks, and floor scrubbers.
  • Repair/modify production machinery.  Fabricate machinery components and replacement parts. Build, repair and install machine guards.  Order repair parts.
  • Make simple electrical installations.  Perform repair on electrical lines and remove obsolete electrical lines.  Perform electrical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain tracking of all maintenance activities, machine downtime, repair hours and repair costs using a database. Provide related routine reports to management.

Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

  • Two years of progressive CNC maintenance experience or an associate degree in CNC machine maintenance, with one year of experience (preferred, not required).
  • Understand mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles and their possible interaction.
  • Able to operate basic tool room equipment, forklifts, and most production equipment.
  • Understanding of Preventative Maintenance
  • Knowledge and ability to work with electricity, and to read schematics.
  • Ability to work on lifts, ladders, and in awkward positions.  Able to lift, manipulate, and position heavy machine components and motors.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, layouts, parts lists, assembly drawings, operating manuals, and troubleshooting instructions

Head Custodian

Head Custodian Job Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee custodial staff scheduling, supervision, training, and evaluations.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and routine inspections.
  • Complete basic repairs and coordinate outside vendors when needed.
  • Manage inventory, supply requisitions, bids, quotes, and annual budget requests.

Head Custodian  Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., work on power lift up to 40 ft., climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and use equipment safely. Must tolerate occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, noise, and perform roof checks/minor roof maintenance. Must maintain effective relationships with staff and students.

Candy Inspection and Packaging – 2nd shift part time
