Warehouse Shipping Clerk Job Description:
- • Forecasting and verifying shipments to meet customer expectations. They will use the TCM system (ERP) for this and need to be familiar with MRP’s and ERP’s.
- Processing incoming and outgoing shipments, including required documentation. We use our customer’s shipping applications as well as UPS/FEDEX/DHL – but since some of our customers are international, it is important that this person understand how to ship to other countries.
- Coordinating loads with our internal truck driver to maximize route efficiencies. The shipping clerk is responsible for scheduling all of our outside processing. This means that they coordinate with outside vendors on purchase orders and schedule our truck driver to pick up and drop off loads. Additionally, they will enter ASN (advance shipping notices) and other documentation into various systems to track shipment and receipt of material.
Warehouse Shipping Clerk Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in a production shipping department is required
- Proficiency with shipping and production software
