CNC Machinist

Individual will be responsible for maintaining/troubleshooting control hardware and making changes/improvements to control software that is used in the manufacturing processes.

CNC Machinist Job Description:

  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Programs Waterjet cutting machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
  • Maintains specifications by observing; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls;; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Material Handler

  • Candidates must have prior forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift and use basic shop hand tools, micrometers and calipers is required.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and read a tape measure with a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and able to read, write and speak English.
  • Accurate communication skills are critical.

Candidates will be responsible for the preparation, serving and clean up of meals and food service equipment for this Girl Scout Camp.

  • Clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas.
  • Collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing.
  • Prepare and serve cold drinks, or frozen milk drinks or desserts, using drink-dispensing, milkshake, or frozen custard machines.
  • Prepare daily food items, and cook simple foods and beverages, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, or coffee, using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, and silverware after meals.

Candidates will be scheduled to work shifts starting on Sunday late afternoon; Monday – Thursday 6 am-8 pm and until Fridays at 6 p.m when campers are on premise.

Candidate should have some experience with food service and ServSafe certification is desirable.

  • Clean and fill molding machine hoppers. Shovel raw materials to maintain consistent flow to hopper. Clean up spilled material.
  • Cooperate and support the activities of various personnel to ensure appropriate action is taken when there is a mold change or
    molding problem.
  • Straighten and band boxes on pallets. Lift finished product boxes to heights up to 6 feet and weights up to 65 pounds.
  • Monitor loader systems filters and replace as needed. Ensure proper service of assigned forklift truck by reporting and describing problems to the Maintenance Department.
  • Assist with tending presses and packing boxes while Packers take breaks and have lunch.
  • Ensure empty skids are placed at presses.
