CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist Job Description:

  • Sets up, operates, edits and tap proofs all levels of work on the CNC lathes to machine metallic and nonmetallic work pieces.
  • Works with appropriate personnel in production control, engineering, inspection, supervisors and other employees to resolve job related problems such as tooling, fixtures, chucking, and program and blueprint specifications.
  • Verifies conformance of work piece to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
  • Studies manufacturing orders and organizes materials and tools for next run during automatic controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.
  • Lifts work piece manually or with hoist, and positions and secures work piece in chuck or fixture, or mounts between centers.
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges and clean parts.
  • Stamps identifying number on parts as instructed.
  • Study program, blueprints, manufacturing drawings, tool sheets and manufacturing orders to verify they are correct and fill out proper paperwork when changes are necessary.

CNC Machinist Requirements:

  • Complex blueprint reading.
  • Proficient tape proofing programs and related tasks such as using machine graphics to find program errors and other potential problems.
  • Proficient mounting and boring jaws, loading parts, loading fixture, loading and using tail-stock and steady rest.

Electropolishing Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate electropolishing equipment to treat stainless-steel parts

Manufacturing Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Weld Mill Operator

Waste Water Treatment Technician – $5000 Sign on bonus

This position operates equipment in the Waste-Water Treatment Plant in such a way as to endure continued compliance to air and water permits and Risk Management Plan. This position is responsible for collecting required samples, performing inspections and record keeping needed to support permits and other EPA, OSHA and DNR regulations.

Waste Water Treatment Technician Duties:

  • Operate and maintain WWTP equipment, perform daily checks and maintenance tasks
  • Monitor pickling process and associated sampling, monitor pickling and alkaline equipment, operate metal extraction system processing pickle liquor
  • Draw scheduled samples, work with third party lab to process the samples and track results. Perform in-house reading and inspection on a monthly schedule.
  • Monitor activities in the plant to ensure compliance with SSPCC, DOT and SWPP.
  • Participate in the Spill Response Team
  • Oversee all inventories, purchasing, loading and unloading of any caustic materials – Hazardous waste management.
  • Work with operators in the plant to maintain all spill prevention and oil controls. Support the universal waste programs.

Waste Water Treatment Technician Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of manufacturing experience and working with environmental systems is required.
  • Clear understanding of air and water permits as well as other EPA, OSHA and DNR requirements for reporting.
  • The ability to review the results from sampling, readings, and inspections for any potential conflicts
  • 24 hours technician certification in Hazardous Waste Handling
  • Clear understanding of RMP and safety aspects of handling Hazardous Material.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience rebuilding diaphragm and impeller pumps
  • Strong background in process piping systems for caustics
  • Must be computer literate and able to use programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

  • Read blueprints for product specifications, such as dimensions, material type, material sizes, finish callout and material hardness, etc.
  • Read manufacturing orders to determine polishing operations and staging of parts. •Remove burrs, sharp edges and clean parts.
  • Stamp identification numbers on parts, as instructed.
  • Select grade of abrasive belt, wheel, sand rolls or disk, according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to various grinding and polishing tools.
  • Polish heat treated parts to product smooth, consistent, unmarred surface and achieve specified finish.
  • Work with items on bench, rotary table and lathe for rough and finish polish of work piece to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, burrs and other defects from metal surface to produce smooth, consistent, unmarred surface and achieve specified finish.
  •  Effectively use the sand blaster to prepare part for final polish and finish sand blast parts to achieve specified finish.

Grinder Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma with at least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge and experience working with various ferrous and non-ferrous metals required.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to maintain tolerance and finishes to engineering and manufacturing specifications
  •  Must be able to operate, but not limited to, the following tools: large angle grinders, small angle grinders, belt sanders, die grinders, orbital sanders, drum sanders and hand files.
  • Operate assorted polishing tools and abrasives on surface of work piece to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, sharp edges and burrs.

2nd shift is  3pm – 1 am Monday-Thursday
