The Quality Lab technician will analyze concentrate for color/quality against client specifications
Quality Lab Technician Responsibilities:
- Weigh-up and mix batches, and produce color chips using a mill, and injection or blow-molding machines.
- Evaluate color / quality against client specs and/or the spectrophotometer.
- Make adjustments to colors not within tolerance
- Assist with sample production, various product tests (i.e., melt-flow, ash test, moisture analysis, etc).
Quality Lab Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-2 years prior experience in a lab environment preferred and plastics industry experience highly desirable
- Ability to see color accurately, math and measurements proficiency.
- Ability to lift 10 to 20 lbs. frequently, 20-40 lbs. occasionally and over 40 lbs. with assistance if required.
Training will occur on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks.
