Saw Operator Job Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret written work instructions
- Operate vertical/horizontal band saws.
- Use saw to cut test specimens according to prescribed spec or work order.
- Interpret basic blueprints and drawings
- Accurately use basic measuring devices, including tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
- Operate surface grinding equipment.
Saw Operator Job Requirements:
- Ability to read a ruler/tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch.
- Ability to add, subtract and simplify fractions.
- Able to understand basic blueprints.
- Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane and jib hoist. (will train)
- Ability to operate pneumatic and electric grinders and basic hand tools
