Quality Control Technician’s main responsibility is to provide direct verification of plant conformance to quality and regulatory standards, to provide support and guidance (written or verbal) to management, staff, and customers, and to provide training to staff as needed. Additionally, to manage and oversee documents for the company’s ISO 9001 and FSSC programs.
Quality Assurance/Document Control Specialist Job Duties:
- Perform batch validation testing, corrections, and documentation (COA, etc.)
- Maintain quality records following client retention policies or practices
- Coordinate sampling and testing with outside laboratories (as needed)
- Conduct Environmental Monitoring according to policy, coordinates and ship samples and maintain records
- Maintain quality/lab equipment calibrations and documentation of same
- General upkeep and supply of the assigned lab and work area (cleanliness, inventory of materials needed, resupply materials as necessary, etc.)
- Support ERP efforts for QC functions
- Act as a primary backup/support for Quality Supervisor
- Update and control procedure documents and forms
- Input document data into the standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date
- Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
Quality Assurance/Document Control Specialist Job Requirements:
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate complex technical information for projects and training
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to carry 40lbs
