Colloidal Silica Production Operator Job Duties:
- Monitor batches on multiple computer monitors for quality and food safety parameters, including Critical Control Points and Control Points.
- Record production, sanitation and test data accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
- Promptly report all food safety, physical safety, and product quality issues.
- Ensure scheduled sanitation activities are completed correctly and on time.
- Collect samples as described in Environmental Monitoring Policy.
- Maintain records for sanitation, preventive maintenance, and environmental monitoring activities.
- Perform warehouse, shipping and receiving duties.
Colloidal Silica Production Operator Job Requirements:
- Proficient in reading and mathematics at the high school graduate level.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of chemical or food processing is preferred.
- GMP and HACCP training is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds repetitively.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repetitively.
- Ability to identify issues with batches, troubleshoot, and communicate problems effectively to supervisor and implement given solutions.
- Monitor critical plant equipment above and beyond standard colloidal tanks such as: acid skid, water softeners, well house, and boiler.
- Track plant inventory such as: acid level, caustic level, sodium silicate level, sodium sulfate level, finished good levels, filter bag levels, and any other key materials.
**3 pm – 3:30 am shift – 3 days on/4 off/4 on/3 off (work every other weekend)**
