A manufacturing plant in Waukesha, WI is hiring a CNC Machinist for 2nd Shift! This is a full time, temporary to permanent placement opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
Large production knowledge
Experience operating large boring bars
Experience with machine attachments (i.e. right angle head, universal head, etc.)
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist is required
Solid math skills (understand fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions)
Lift up to 40 lbs. when needed
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines
Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
Load and unload material and fixturing into CNC machines
Use gauges and other measuring instruments to ensure proper tolerance requirements
Understand, interpret and edit G-code programming
Recognize, deploy and use inserts, fixtures and tooling
Understand and perform tool wear offsets
Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on CNC machines
Comply with all quality policies and specifications
Move or transfer products with an overhead crane, forklift or stand-up lift
Stand, walk, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
This is a full time, temporary to permanent placement position located in Waukesha, WI. Starting wage is $21-$25 per hour, depending on experience.
